Roof Run-off Drains

Rainwater run-off can be collected from roof by way of guttering and stored in an
EZflow drain field until it can be perked into soil helping to restore ground water. Check with building codes for mandates.

Housing and other development increase rainfall run-off due to impervious surfaces such as roofs and pavement. Collection of roof water run-off can be piped to an underground
EZflow drainfield where the run-off is stored and absorbed by the surrounding soil. This prevents erosion in the nearby yard area and natural channels downstream. Multiple units of EZflow may be desirable to provide adequate storage and additional soil interface area for absorption.

Local ordinances or building codes may require that rainfall run-off not be increased due to development. This may require advice from a professional.

A barrier over or around the
EZflow units may be required to prevent sand-like soils from entering the EPS aggregate. The type of barrier can be unrelated building paper, filter fabric, newspaper, or straw and should be selected based on site conditions. Local practices in similar applications and soils may be a guide as to the type of barrier that should be used.
